The comedy is broad and slapstick, but ultimately the film is heartwarming and lovely. You’ll find yourself laughing in spite of your initial reaction to the goofiness of the premise. It’s also a fun way to spend an afternoon with the kids. Read full review

It’s more tedious than unwatchable, and pint-size Cena fans may be curious to see him in a movie more compatible with his Kids’ Choice Awards hosting gigs than the likes of "Blockers" or "Trainwreck." I hated this so much for two things only. The characters and plot. These characters were just soo unfunny and cliche. Especially those goddamn kids!!!!! I couldn't survive any longer with those annoying brats being on screen. The others were just as bad, being stupid and cringy. The only II hated this so much for two things only. The plot was also nonexistent, like it was just an hour of childish nonsense with lots of unfunny filler. I only went to see because I was going out with a friend and my brother again. Disgusting, annoying, legit unpleasant, and downright not funny, Playing with Fire wants to melt your heart, but will instead make you scream SHUT UP at the top of your lungs.
