As a narrative, Point Blank’s like a screenplay slammed to the ground, shot repeatedly, and re-assembled with scotch tape and vending machine stickers (likely White Snake band logo iron-ons). It’s flashy. As far as action flicks go, Point Blank’s cool with its low IQ because it’s having fun throwing ‘bows to loud music. It knows what it is.

Point Blank's production bones are solid and the action itself is clear and capable, but the story is woefully past its expiration date and the attempt to tether it back to the types of "action movies we grew up with" falls flat.

This movie is short and has it all great actors, action, comedy, drama. Good flick!

Point Blank is an entertaining action crime film. The action scenes are not amazing but still good and descent for this film. The actors do a good job on their performances but the plot may be confusing at times and not that important since the viewer will care more about the two lead characters. Overall i had a good time.

The first half of Point Blank moves and hums. And then it stops moving. A movie that needs to fly from first frame to last slows down, loses its momentum, and never recovers, limping across the finish line with a climax that doesn’t work.

Obviously the metacritic reviews dont paint the prettiest picture but if you take a look for yourself, you'll find that Point Blank is a solid if not mindless action thriller. Frank Grillo and Anthony Mackie are good, capable leads and the direction is solid enough to mask the narrative flaws.

Both Frank Grillo and Anthony Mackie are competent performers, but beyond the fact that this film is a remake, everything that happens in Point Blank has been seen countless times in other films of a similar genre.
