There are some jokes no one under 10 will get (a few of which are pretty funny) to go along with the visual diarrhea that clutters the screen with needless “action” sequences. The resolution to the emotional component of the climax feels like an unearned cheat, but I suppose it’s okay when one considers it will probably work for children.

If there’s something you remember, or liked, about any iteration of “Scooby-Doo,” you’ll probably find it, or a joke about it, in Scoob! It gets to be a little tiring, but maybe it helps all this frantic silliness go down just a little easier, too.
Zoinks! The Great Dane’s big-screen return has murderous robot bowling pins, escapades in abandoned amusement parks and exciting airborne chase sequences — but nowhere near the joke-rate an enduring character like Scoob demands.
Scoob! is a poorly written, nonsensical animated update of the Scooby gang.
The best part of Scoob!, a computer-animated reboot of the Scooby-Doo franchise, is the part in which the movie painstakingly recreates the opening credits of the original series.
Scooby-Doo, where are you? The real one, I mean. The rest of this mess is just a series of nonsensical action sequences.
The comedy could be summed up with "How do you do, fellow kids?" and Simon Cowell for some reason? The story was ok. Also, there is a ton of Hanna-Barbera related easter eggs in the movie.
The best part of the movie is definitely the animation and just the way the movie looks in general. It reminds me of The Peanuts Movie in the since of giving an old property a sort of new coat of paint.
The Simon Cowell model was realistic looking, but it wasn't to the point of being uncanny. It also fit in with the rest of the cast and wouldn't have even stood out if I didn't know he was an actual person. Similar to his Shrek 2 model.

They threw so many different adult references here that I question why this film was made for kids and not young teens.

Just nothing felt right about this movie. The plot felt shallower than a 20 minute SD episode. Forte was a terrible Shaggy, none of the characters felt like they were written by someone that's ever seen an episode. I barely got a smile out of a couple side jokes. Never laughed once. The live action movies were far better. If you need something fast paced to keep the kids entertained I guess it's OK, but it's not Scooby Doo.
