The film's real superpowers are its endearing performances, and a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers that interweaves teen-angst soap opera and cosmic calamity with all the goofy logic and tonal nimbleness that make the best superhero comics so appealing.

It’s all very meta and self-referential; screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers hoover up memorable lines from past movies and serve them with a flourish and an exaggerated wink to the audience. It’s also a good deal of fun.

nonsensical questionable writing, the motivation n Peter logic make no sense whatsoever at times tons of fan service which was the highlight of the movie n carried it basically

It’s the giving season, so, sure, give us some fan service. But the story is still there (though the second act does start to feel a bit long) and I felt some actual emotion, even with all this chaos swirling around. And in the end Spider-Man: No Way Home somehow finds a way to keep it all together.

If Spider-verse was about how anyone can be Spider-Man, No Way Home is a more authorized Spider-Man compendium; its tone leans more operatic than antic. Still, Watts has a human touch that can be lacking in superhero films, and nearly all of the actors who appear in No Way Home come across as individuals despite the high-concept narrative.

It was really nice, how they characterized Tom Holland's Peter Parker seeing how much he become since Spider-Man: Homecoming. And seeing the return of the main cast especially Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield brought me so much joy.

Don't think about it too hard, just enjoy the cameos, and you'll be in for a treat. If I didn't like the other movies this one was referencing, I wouldn't have enjoyed it, though.

This movie leans pretty hard on fan service. Tons of thin plots, and Spider-man is trusting/trying to save bad and shady people yet again. He should have learned by now! Even those hwo died fighting Spider-man should be given redemption and free roam again? Is Marvel fusing with the Fast and the furious "saga"?
