Loud, gory, sometimes silly, sometimes scary, and nearly always constant fun, Studio 666 is tailored to a pretty specific audience but has the potential to break outside of that niche, thanks to its commitment to old-school horror tropes with a hearty side of rock and roll.
It’s remarkable how far McConnell’s film can coast on little more than novelty power, star power, and Doritos, but there’s no denying that “Studio 666” hits a wall after about an hour, and spends the next 50 minutes stumbling around in a daze.

It was so bad it was amazing! I went into that cinema expecting not much and got a great twisty story, inventive gorey moments(the chainsaw scene lol), some cheap but decent comedy, and great rock. On top of that the lack of acting ability just added to the comedy, Rami being the highlight. Have a few beers before you go in, lower your expectations and you’ll love the hell out of it.

It was fun and stupid funny I enjoyed it, idk why people are acting like it’s supposed to be some horror masterpiece the whole point of the movie was to be over the top and cheesy I enjoyed every minute.

The running time is an issue – a punchy seven-inch single approach would have been preferable, rather than this jam session of a screenplay, which doesn’t know how to end. But the tonal blend of goofy and gory is oddly endearing.
It's harmless fun, enough to achieve a place among music movie curios like Ringo Starr/Harry Nillson's unwatchable Son of Dracula (1973) and the equally cringe-worthy Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978). For what it’s worth, Studio 666 is leagues better than both of those efforts.
The Foo Fighters are a rare band that has maintained a roughly decent amount of relevancy decades after rock ruled the music industry. Their self-aware horror-comedy is a sweet ode to their ride, but where Medicine at Midnight brought them a nice wave of good praise, Studio 666 feels like a dud – a horror movie with no good hooks and a rock & roll film that lacks the bombastic energy that’s ever present at the band’s live shows.
With better pacing and jokes, the film could have been a goof-off exercise to satisfy the midnight-madness crowd.
The estimable Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters has bafflingly decided to try everyone’s patience with this insufferable vanity project: a violent gonzo grossout that sadly conforms to the horror-comedy tendency of being neither properly scary nor properly funny.

Joking aside, I love their music. They have perfect songs that I listen to regularly. And I know that I will remember this movie, too. It has some kind of "Under the Silver Lake" vibe in the movie. Music is a devil's toy, hell yeah, baby. And Dave is the main product. Most of the time, I don't like "horror comedies," but this time, I took whatever I wanted. Acting, music, action, gore, aesthetic killings. It was a perfectly done, well directed movie. Congrats rockers!

A very goofy, over-the-top, bloody horror film from the Foo Fighters - it's exactly the sort of thing you would expect from them if you've ever watched their music videos or seen them in interviews. Got a little sad every time Taylor Hawkins was on screen, but I'm also glad he got to be part of this before his untimely death. I do feel like if you don't care about the Foo Fighters, as a group or their music, then you probably won't get a ton of enjoyment out of Studio 666 - unless you specifically like low-budget horror, especially the kind that don't take themselves seriously. I do love the Foo Fighters, so I had a good time but it's not exactly a well-made movie

I love stupid horror films, but the pacing was a slog and made it hard to pay attention. None of the band are decent actors except for Dave Grohl. The novelty of them playing themselves wears thin pretty quickly, and even the over the top gore and cheesy humor was not enough to keep it entertaining. Would have been way better as a short film but a full length feature film felt like an unnecessary waste of my time.

Foo Fighters decide to record their 10th album in an Encino mansion with a grisly past. Needless to say, the evil spirits emerge with gruesome results. This is supposed to be a comedy with tongue-in-cheek characterizations and over-the-top gore. The humor seldom lands, although the bloody murders are enjoyable for the creative ways they're staged. This is certainly band founder Dave Grohl's showcase, but all of the band's members do OK with their acting duties. Most of the satirical jabs at the band and the genre are overly obvious and seldom clever. Fans might enjoy spending extended time with the musicians, but anyone else will find it just dumb.

In terms of quality, what you think you're going to get is exactly what's delivered: a horror comedy where none of the comedy lands, none of the scares work, and none of the musicians involved can act. This is the movie equivalent of any Foo Fighters album -the plot is as vanilla and bereft of any originality or technical proficiency as any of their musical offerings. Avoid at all costs.
