“Swimming” wears its “Full Monty” ambitions (it isn’t on that level, but its funny enough) on its trunks, with the flippant banter and blend of melancholy sentimentality and sight gag silliness. It even uses a Tom Jones anthem for its “big finish.” Yeah, there’s an “informal world championships” for men who do this. No, seriously.

Movie is great. Possitive story with good old English humor. Watched it two times, second time I liked it even more. Highly recommended.

The dry humour and decent production quality elevate the weak plot. It was an entertaining if poorly paced comedy film with a vaguely 'underdog sports team' theme.

This film floats, but, like a synchro-swimmer doing the “egg beater” leg movement, it needs a fair bit of strenuous activity to keep it upright.

I rather enjoyed this movie - it's a pretty gentle comedy. It's all been done before but Rob Brydon is watchable. The ending was very overcooked and there is a side story with a love interest with an 18 year age gap between actors which felt shoe-horned in. Overall a fun, derivative, very British but un-challenging film.

This film looks and seems like a feature length TV comedy, sitcom special. Its quite lighthearted and has some mildly amusing moments although its also somewhat cheesy and it was a little too predictable for my personal taste. I suppose it highlights the loveable British, or English, eccentric and its about pulling yourself through tough crossroads with the help of a few friends and a shared love of something. I did say its cheesy!. Its a pretty simple film really. Not unwatchable but not especially good either. This is a pretty middle of the road, average watch.
