This second incarnation of the Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt-produced animation anthology is, if anything, even better than the first.
Over too soon.
Animation fans, no matter their stylistic preference (computer-generated, claymation, old-school hand-drawn), will find much to sate their appetites in this collection of award-winning and critically acclaimed work. There’s not a dud in the bunch.
It's a mixed bag almost by definition. Yet the good is good indeed, making this show worth a look for devotees of the form.
Very entertaining.
Expertly programmed by Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt, the second go-round of The Animation Show features 12 films from five countries.
Given the dearth of outlets for short, noncommercial animation, fans of the form shouldn't miss this collection.
