The composition of this movie pulls you in, and the characters and plot keep you for the whole thing. Not one moment in this movie does the acting distract me from the story. That’s not to say that most of the other movies after this are good. However this on its own is a masterpiece in its field.

Something special about it. It's a formula movie, to be sure, but it's Formula One.
A massive compendium of youth-movie/pedal-to-the-metal cliches. But man, is it fast!
While few of the paper-thin characters register long enough to make much of an impression, Diesel carries the movie.
This testosterone-driven, car-crime picture evokes the testosterone-driven, surf-crime picture "Point Break."
The Fast and the Furious is "Rebel Without a Cause" without a cause. The young and the restless with gas fumes. The quick and the dead with skid marks.
It's a fun movie to watch With Friends just looking at the car action looking at the early 2000 stylist looking cars. It's just really nice feeling movie.
Feels like a period piece on the early 2000s car culture and dude bro attitude. It is fun to watch.

Well-acted but terribly flawed and noisy. The Fast and The Furious has more enthusiasm on its cheesy teenage exploitation flicks of the 1950s than trying to live up its name.

Sweet Jesus. I found Fast 5 and the sixth one to be entertaining, but the one that started it all? Awful. I watched this movie at my friend's house over Robocop. Man, I wish we changed our minds. The only thing this movie relies on is sexy women and cars to entertain. The acting is lackluster, and the action scenes and races are unacceptably boring. The plot isn't good enough to be a positive, either. Yes, the entire movie was made 13 years ago. However, that isn't a saving grace for me not to call this movie awful. It is. The only reason I wrote this is to say how bad it was.
