The Greatest Showman is the feel-good (and feel good about it) movie every holiday season needs. P.T. Barnum is famous for saying there’s a sucker born every minute and he’s still right. The Greatest Showman, for all its celebratory razzle-dazzle, in the end feels curiously lacking in conviction. Its pleasures, namely those Pasek-Paul songs, could be removed and repurposed for another story entirely, with no discernible loss in enjoyment or meaning...Its failures are rooted in something deeper: a dispiriting lack of faith in the audience’s intelligence, and a dawning awareness of its own aesthetic hypocrisy. It's an empty, moronic, pandering and utterly forgettable, low-rent "Moulin Rouge" that pays curious tribute to Barnum by similarly hailing its audience as slack-jawed rubes, slobbering for whatever passes as entertainment. It's godawful. Read full review

I saw this movie/musical a week ago and have fallen in love with it. The singing is near perfect, the songs are catchy, and the dance choreography is one of the best I have seen, in a musical. Only problem are some inconsistencies with the real life events, but this is easily overlooked with the whimsy this film delivers. Also I should mention I typically do not like musicals but this one captivated me. Absolutely worth a watch, at least once in your life.… Expand

This, for me was an instant favourite! Beautifully written songs and a lovely story. Fantastic choreography. All round feel good film. Zendaya shines!

Spectacular! Absolutely amazing! Great messages of forgiveness and equality for everyone. The plot line was almost as good as La La Land and it's soundtrack was just as good if not better. I highly recommend The Greatest Showman!

While not the most historically accurate retelling of P.T. Barnum (as any review will tell you), it's still a great movie that'll warm your heart at the times you need it to.

The Greastest Showman, é um filme que não esperava ver, mas incentivado por minha irmã e por ter um dos meus actores favoritos, moldei o meu tempo de modo a observar esta obra cinematográfica. Aqui vai:

Aspectos Positivos: - O melhor do filme é sem duvida o musical em si. Todo o filme emThe Greastest Showman, é um filme que não esperava ver, mas incentivado por minha irmã e por ter um dos meus actores favoritos, moldei o meu tempo de modo a observar esta obra cinematográfica. Aqui vai:

- O melhor do filme é sem duvida o musical em si. Todo o filme em muitas partes acaba por ser cantado, mas não de maneira chata e sim muito bem elaborada e engraçada trazendo ao filme emoção e transportando essa emoção para o espectador. O elenco tambem é bom e Hugo Jackman supreendeu-me imenso neste papel pela positiva.
