Rarely do remakes capture the lightning in the bottle of the source material. But The Guilty does, no doubt in part because screenwriter Nic Pizzolatto, best known for the True Detective series, drafted Gustav Möller, who wrote the original screenplay for and directed the original. Whether a remake was needed remains debatable, but the vision remains intact.

Broken People Save Broken People, The Guilty is an intense one in half hour movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Riley Keough, Peter Sarsgaard, and Ethan Hawke, the movie was sort of like one of a thousand of 911 call story, and it's sad and terrifying if you think that in real life this thing happen everyday in each of every call, and this is just one person call only, The Guilty is not only strongly perform by Jake Gyllenhaal, Riley Keough and Peter Sarsgaard incredible voice acting performance was top notch, overall, The Guilty is one of the best films of the year.

Jake Gyllenhaal delivers as one would expect, proving again that he’s one of the most consistent actors alive.
Gyllenhaal’s impressive, but The Guilty almost certainly would have been more effective if he’d dialed down the intensity a bit.
Without offering anything particularly interesting or nuanced, The Guilty still has enough to keep audiences engaged and on the edge of their seats.
While Gyllenhaal thrusts himself into the role with energy, you can sense his awareness that his acting has to carry the whole shebang, like a chef in the kitchen doing every last job. He’s entertaining, but guilty, like The Guilty, of throwing nuance in the bin.
Formato interesante, solo "un" actor, un escenario, y una pedazo historia que contar.
Jake Gyllenhaal es buenísimo, y realza la película un montón, pero no es el papel en el que más se luce.
Todo el tema de las llamadas mola un montón, la tensión que te transmite, esa intriga por saber qué está pasando, empatizas mucho con la situación.
· Cosas buenas: La puesta en escena mola mucho, cómo no, Jake Gyllenhaal. La premisa está muy bien construida, la historia es muy atrapante y los giros de guion bien medidos para mantenerte en vilo.
· Cosas malas: Tiene que interesarte desde el principio, si no entras ahí, te va a parecer un tostón, porque, no hay acción y hay mucho diálogo.
· Conclusión: La forma de narrar está muy bien lograda y hace una historia atrapante, pero nada más allá que para pasar el rato, eso sí, prepárate para leer subtítulos.

Es un nuevo estreno de Netflix y Antoine Fuqua; la trama es decente y la actuación de Jake Gyllenhaal es excelente; no es la mejor película de la historia, pero es disfrutable.

At least 12 Angry Men had 12 men in one room. This is just 1 man -- and not even a likable man, one of the angry men -- in a room for 90 minutes. This is a college film project masquerading as a movie. As an acting assignment, this would get an A+. As a movie...well it hardly classifies as one.
Gyllenhaal is a great actor, but for his standard, this is probably the worst I've seen from him. But I can't be too harsh given the lack of material, and apparently the director directed remotely, so it was definitely a "Covid movie." The most awful thing about the movie is the weepy voices on the phone. Listening to weeping women and children for so long is just unbearable, it made my skin crawl. And those voice actors weren't authentic at all. Just monotonous crying that went on and on and on.
