It is didactic without losing its sense of organicism; it is radical without losing its sense of humor; it is intentional in its visual and formal design without flattening itself to the status of aesthetic image emptied of its politics. If you have an open mind, this will reward you greatly. If you hate any examination of race and power in The USA, you will be triggered, offended, and give this a low score. Another documentary pushing identity politics, which should have been buried long time ago for the benefit of everyone. But tribalism and identitarianism tend to boil to the surface. African Americans aren't immune to it either, as this movie documents very well.
