Moss continues to deliver what we crave from woman characters: the kind of messy yet sturdy intricacy many of today’s thinly conceived you-go-girl female superheroes continue to lack.
Moss also strengthens the notion that this is a monster movie unusually interested in looking past the toxic-male machinations of its famous character and toward the lasting horrors left in his wake. In other words, the stuff that previous movies, and real life, have sometimes tried to turn invisible.

I don't usually watch films from this genre. I generally stick to SF action and superhero movies, but I heard good things about The Invisible Man. This movie is tense and intense. It's a rollercoaster of emotions. I actually felt anxious at times. Seriously, it's a powerful film.

The Invisible Man is a chilling mind-bender that strikes at our deepest fears — the ones we can’t see.
The fun is watching the shivery details — such as a shot of the back of Cecilia’s neck, in which we can almost feel the sudden scent of a presence — and appreciating the skill of Moss’ performance.
Moss, whose gift for speaking volumes with purposeful stares is well-documented on "The Handmaid's Tale," perfectly captures the sense of invasion Cecelia feels, and at first, helplessness. Her growing strength, in the face of such an overwhelming threat, is the movie's most empowering element.
The Invisible Man is not as smart as it could have been, but the concept is ingenious even if the execution gets slapdash. And with Moss at the center, it doesn’t matter all that much — she sells what’s approached as B-movie material with the unwavering dedication of someone starring in a prestige biopic.
"Saw" writer Leigh Whannell mixes metaphors in this limp remake, using gaslighting and privacy fears for his uneven sci-fi horror.

It has some amazing direction and a great lead performance but the story is okay.

Movie's starting one hour was unnecessarily stretched and boring. It is only in last 45 minutes when movie becomes some interesting. This is a horror movie just difference is that they are trying to scare you by moving camera here and there. Well, the idea was nice but execution needed to be better. The pace of the movie was also a problem, first of all this movie didn't need to be 2hour movie. 1hr30 min (max) was enough for this type of story. I was really excited for this after seeing all the reviews but after watching it, I don't think it deserved so much rating. Overall, would say that you can give it a try but don't expect too much..
