History is just one big playpen for The King’s Man, but some games are less fun than others. Maybe using a glimpse of Hitler for a cheap thrill wouldn’t seem quite so grotesque in a movie that were more entertaining, but The King’s Man isn’t so it does. Read full review

The concept of a supervillain hellbent on Scottish independence is, admittedly, kind of funny (not to mention in keeping with the overall politics of the Kingsman films). But The King’s Man can’t figure out what to do with the idea, apart from having the largely unseen bad guy yell a lot in a Scottish accent. Like so much of the film, it’s trying to have it both ways—to be stupid and clever at the same time, and coming across mostly as the former. Read full review

This easily surpasses the other two films and is wildly entertaining from beginning to end. Unburdened of the usual woke agenda this film is furiously fun and has some of the best action scenes I've seen in a long time - ignore all the whiny snowflakes, this is a good time! - 10 stars

Other than a weird scene in the beginning of the film that I felt had no reason to be in it, I enjoyed the film for what it was: a B WWI spy action movie.

Weak Original for Kingsman

Story for Kingsman origins is very strange. It's because authors try to play with drama and popcorn action movie simultaneously. The result - story goes from good action to boring cliche scenes. Also final is very frustrating and even bad because in the middleWeak Original for Kingsman

Story for Kingsman origins is very strange. It's because authors try to play with drama and popcorn action movie simultaneously. The result - story goes from good action to boring cliche scenes. Also final is very frustrating and even bad because in the middle story too many time wastes on main characters, so main story just quickly ends and we see ending credits. It's very frustrating.

Acting was ok, some good new faces in the franchise and of course cameos for old characters. Action and visual is still good, but not as it was in first two films.

As a Kingsman fan I don't recommend this film, maybe next will be better.… Expand

The first movie in the Kingsman series was The Secret Service and it was good. The sequel The Golden Circle was actually better. This new one goes backward in time and quality. Second, it’s not anywhere as cool or fun as its predecessors. They featured cool gadgets and technology, snazzy visuals and dizzying fights. Not this time. Ralph Fiennes stars as a nobleman who swears off war to protect his son (Harris Dickinson). Nevertheless, they get involved with an international gang of tyrants who threaten world peace. There are a few robust encounters, but it takes more than an hour of dull dialogue to get to anything juicy. Even then, there’s a lack of excitement and inventiveness that sinks the movie’s prospects even further.… Expand
