The film that follows is, admittedly, a bit of a mess. It’s also compelling, energetic, and well-acted, finding one of our most intriguing filmmakers all but flinging herself outside of her comfort zone.
The Last Thing He Wanted is trying to be too many things at once. It goes off on several tangents that don’t ever conclude.

Buena elección al elegir a Anne, el cast es muy bueno, el problema de esta película es el dialogo de la misma, esa coherencia se pierde un poco, es una lástima que Anne aceptara hacer esta película, dan oportunidad a la misma no resulta ser mala, pero deja mucho que desear la historia.

The human dimension that gives the film brief jolts of energy never takes root. Instead, audiences are left grappling with a stuffy maze, albeit one presented with handsome production values and a filmmaker’s striking visual touch.
The Last Thing He Wanted is a thing that no one wanted.
The first half doesn’t fit with the second half, there are too many distractions and the filmmakers think it’s clever to leave clues but they do it clumsily and at the last minute and it’s really exhausting for the viewer.
On film, The Last Thing He Wanted settles for just being hollow. It’s the last thing any of us wanted.
I think watching Anne Hathaway trying to act was more entertaining than the film itself. And thank God Ben Affleck didn't get a huge part in this, cause he's another one that couldn't act his way out of a paper bag! The film was weak overall.

This movie fundamentally fails. It fails in just about every regard except that it is shot well and the actors do a good job with the (horrible) material they're given. The cinematography is often great, surprising, given how incompetently the script is. The first half remains the pretense of being a movie that is just boring; however, after the first hour it devolves into increasingly unbelievable nonsense. While some movies are enjoyably bad, this is not one of them. Even the most ridiculous twists will leave you more perplexed and frustrated than entertained.
