Director Andersen’s pacing is dynamic, allowing white-knuckled viewers to catch their breaths before he takes it away again. This isn’t a sequel, it’s an after-shock – and a doozy at that.
The Quake hits a handful of the cliches one expects from a disaster film, as well as having one character’s death not mean as much as it should. However, thanks to strong characterizations and good acting the plot is still engaging. However, the reason to watch the film is the excellent cinematography and awe-inspiring effects.

I was completely unaware that the Norwegian disaster movie The Wave, had a sequel.
And I must say that like its predecessor it seemed competent enough considering its offer.
It's rare to see a sequel of this type in which the protagonist is mired in a depression due to the fatalities he thinks he could have prevented.
Although the story abuses of that element quite a bit, because even though the acting is credible, the script doesn't allow him to advance further, and his character becomes exasperating. But I reiterate, it was competent enough, I had no expectations because as I said I wasn't even aware of its existence, however, it seemed entertaining enough.

Esta bien hecha, no es aburrida, el problema que la historia se **** mucho en explicar como surge un terremoto, demasiado termino técnico que la hace tediosa y desespera no ver acción. La acción **** 10min y se resuelve el destino de los protagonistas muy rápido. La hija me cagó.

John Andreas Andersen’s The Quake, a sequel to the excellent 2015 Norwegian disaster film The Wave, should be required viewing for all of today’s Hollywood franchise jockeys. It shows you how to make one of these things without sacrificing your characters’ souls (or your own, for that matter).
The Quake offers visceral thrills.
This Quake delivers with skill. The build-up to the disaster nicely intensifies with a feeling of dread, and some of the subtlest early effects are the most powerful.
When the devastating quake finally strikes, it creates a truly suspenseful scenario of vertiginous falls and last-minute saves.
Joner is a capable actor, but he’s required here to remain for such a long time in a one-note condition of mental fragility that our sympathy for the character starts to give way to exasperation.
While thrilling and tense in parts, "The Quake" fails to retain the same amount of impact as "The Wave", due to it's unrealistic situations and characters making wrong decisions.

The characters are so annoying, I even have to say it twice: Every f. family-member is so damn annoying.
Many unlogical situations, like that the earthquake monitoring team is 100% useless and in an emegency event they need to leave their post because their office is not earthquake-proof. Or that the protagonist who knows there will be a critical event any second wants to secure his wife and then they use the elevator??? The f. elevator? Are you serious?
Then the movie ends without any sense in the middle of the catastrophe.
At least the visual effects were good.

this movie is a slutty is not possible ;-; This movie is a disaster literally, 1 hour and 40 min but I think only about 20 and of action. It also doesn't show how the characters got out of certain situations like in the destroyed Building

A Norwegian disaster movie that has nothing to envy to the Hollywood ones, both in positive for the technical sector and in negative for the most shaky plot of the earthquake itself, with all the characters always making the worst choice at the worst time.
