Truly a great and unfortunately underrated film, and the Cody's flight scene is just majestic

Whilst it doesn’t deliver too much in terms of something super new, this film has aged surprisingly well and is a very unique Disney film that stands out in a good way.

The Rescuers Down Under is an Improvement over it’s predecessor and another fine addition to the Renaissance era of Disney.

It isn't as good as the immensely charming original, but I enjoyed this very much. You do realise that this was released 13 years after the original, and a lot of the characters had to be animated again. I forgive them for that though, as the animation was surprisingly good, especially theIt isn't as good as the immensely charming original, but I enjoyed this very much. You do realise that this was released 13 years after the original, and a lot of the characters had to be animated again. I forgive them for that though, as the animation was surprisingly good, especially the scenes with Marahute, who blew me away at the sight of her. Though Bianca does look different than she was in the original film, she had chubbier cheeks here. Bob Newhart and Eva Gabor are great as Bernard and Bianca, although there was a significant change in both characters. John Candy was hilarious as Wilbur. If there is one element that is better than the original, but only marginally, it is that Wilbur is funnier than Orville. The plot was also very good, on a parallel with the original, but that was the intention, and the music by Bruce Broughton was appropriately fitting. Cody is very likable, but sometimes his dialogue is a bit unnatural, and I know that people commented on his accent. George C. Scott, a fine actor, was suitably menacing as McLeach, although his animation at times was a tad frightening. I really enjoyed this movie, it's not perfect, but it is one of the better animated sequels to come out. 8/10 Bethany Cox… Expand

Bernardo y Bianca en Cangurolandia es una película que si bien le tengo mucha nostalgia, no dejare que me ciegue, porque esta bastante lejos de ser perfecta. Los viejos personajes de la anterior, en especial Bernardo y Bianca, se sienten un downgrade con respecto a la primera, ademas de no hacer prácticamente nada para intentar salvar a Cody. El único personaje que estuvo a la altura fue Jake, realmente te cae muy bien, e incluso lo pondría como el mejor personaje de toda la saga. Lastima que no hay muchas partes en las que brille en su totalidad, pero bueno... También villanos como Mc Leech no son para nada tan recordables como Medusa y Mr Snobb. Ademas de que los directores se olvidaron de explicar que paso con los animales capturados por Mc Leech. Cuando Cody, Bernardo, Bianca y Jake escapan no muestran que los animales fueron liberados ¿Que paso? No lo se.
Sigue siendo una película bastante decente que podría llegar a recomendar, sin embargo, carece de muchos elementos que me encantaron en la primera, ademas de ser un downgrade en otras.… Expand
