I thoroughly enjoyed this film, but the bad news is that you have to pay attention. The jokes and impersonations are hilarious, but they come thick and fast. They identify each person mimicked in passing, but you have to follow carefully. You also should know something about movie historyI thoroughly enjoyed this film, but the bad news is that you have to pay attention. You also should know something about movie history and the Romantic poets (Byron and Shelley in particular), so I can understand that this movie is sadly not for everyone. The scenery is lush, and the food is voluptuous and lovingly filmed to the point where it can make you crazy, especially if you are eating stale popcorn as we were. The film is a lot of fun, but I didn’t give it the highest rating because of the maudlin last half hour where personal family issues and a real family member and a not-very-interesting agent appear in person. The movie fell flat, and since this film is the equivalent of mental calisthenics, it was just a bit too long and the change in tone didn’t really work for me.… Expand

"The Trip To Italy" is not your average-type film but, instead, is a sequel to the filming of the road trip made by Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon to the northern part of Great Britain which, due to its apparent success, formed the basis and reason or their "Trip to Italy". Directed by Michael"The Trip To Italy" is not your average-type film but, instead, is a sequel to the filming of the road trip made by Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon to the northern part of Great Britain which, due to its apparent success, formed the basis and reason or their "Trip to Italy". Directed by Michael Winterbottom, Coogan and Brydon drive their way in their Mini-Cooper convertible along the Italian coast sampling persons and cuisine of the most delightful nature. Intermixes with the tour they are taking are references to the two tourists’ personal life and the not so fictional versions of them. Coogan and Brydon are wonderful as they banter, ad-lib and joke with each other about their respective traits and personalities but, through it all, a caring and bonding that is rarely found in two friends without any negative agenda. You watch the film liking its heroes and wishing you could be the third member of their group. Unorthodox and unlike most films the viewer will see, I give the movie an 8 for, above all, it is fun to watch, extremely entertaining and allows the audience to experience, not only the charm of really funny men but, in addition, the breathtaking beauty of the landscape that is Italy.… Expand

I have watched the three stooges, it is fuuny. I love it. but my friends may not like it. my friend like " cast away" film, but I may not like it. . Don't think that if you like "avator", you friend will also like it. No. Different people have differnet likes

This film has even less of a plot than its predecessor, "The Trip," but you might enjoy the gorgeous Italian scenery (and gorgeous Italian pasta) more than the moody moors of England (although I liked those). Their musings about aging and death added a darker shading to this sequel ... but again, unfortunately, it really went nowhere. I'm hoping for a few new impersonations, and a bit more drama, if they reprise this again in a new locale.… Expand

Two quasi-witty guys on a road trip. Kind of annoying and there is no story. They think the dialogue is good but it's lame banter. Don't get why this got so well reviewed.

Definitely not for everyone, and I was in the "not for" category. Fortunately I figured this out in the first 3 minutes, and walked out by 10 minutes with my husband. Our theater gave us comp passes for another movie. So if you do pay the $$, and you are miserable by minute 3, go aheadDefinitely not for everyone, and I was in the "not for" category.
