Squanders an appealing performance from Costner.
If you've got money to waste and enjoy pain, go ahead and see this movie. Or just play a round of golf. Six of one…
I love Tin Cup and many other viewers will as well. The moviemmis hilarious, kevin is aces as well as Don, Cheech and Rene as always. The movie is charming, surprising and there is plenty of golf lingo offered by Kevin for those viewers who enjoy the golf terms. The movie also has a constant energy, amusing one liners and is highly affable even though the movie runs longer than the average length of a comedy drama. Tin Cup is one of my favorite comedies of the 90's. Tin is also one of Kevin and Rene's best movies. They have perfect chemistry every second they are together.

Roy "Tin Cup" McAvoy is an ex-college golfing champion who, despite his obvious talent, failed to make it as a pro because of his stubbornness and inner demons. Whilst running a driving range in the middle of rural Texas he meets psychiatrist Molly, and is inspired to give the pro game one more try.
At heart Tin Cup is a romantic comedy, and as with many movies in this genre it all gets a bit ridiculous in the end. There are however a decent amount of laughs, and Costner and Russo certainly have great chemistry, meaning this is still worth a watch whether you’re a golf fan or not.
