Two Lives makes a decent thriller, though it does seem a touch overloaded with grainy flashbacks and plotty flourishes retrieved from Sergei Eisenstein (or perhaps Brian De Palma). Not that these faults matter much: The most ham-fisted filmmaker couldn't ruin the incendiary material on which this tale is built. Read full review

This is a very entertaining and interesting movie that I think should have gotten higher marks from the professional critics. If you like movies related to the aftermath of the Second World War and the impact it continues to have on the people who lived through it, you will find this moveThis is a very entertaining and interesting movie that I think should have gotten higher marks from the professional critics. If you like movies related to the aftermath of the Second World War and the impact it continues to have on the people who lived through it, you will find this move engrossing. The acting is great, plus there are many stunning shots of the Norwegian landscape. Perhaps most importantly, it raises a very interesting question: can lies evaporate and become truths?
