It's a nice, if undemanding, Yuletide treat.
Though it's not as satisfying as it might have been, it still boasts great stars and catchy songs in addition to a love story, and is a perennial holiday favorite.

One of my favorite holiday movies of all time. Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby are a perfect duo in this warm heartfelt classic. They hardly write movies this way anymore. The mood of the movie is a perfect blend of lighthearted and heartfelt, which allows for great comedy, romance, and conflict while remaining a relaxing warm film. I believe the writers in Hollywood today, at least at the time of writing this review, can't blend those moods... in fact I think heartfelt is almost completely lost on them. But I digress... White Christmas is not just one of the best Christmas films ever made, it is one of the best films ever made. Give it a watch next Christmas season and you won't be disappointed.

One of the best film's ever made. The writing, direction, acting and music all combine to make a film that is more than the sum of its parts. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a heartfelt holiday masterpiece.

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, along with VistaVision, keep the entertainment going in this fancifully staged production, clicking well.
Great songs, gentle humour and a dose of syrup which is not to everyone's tastes, but worth buying to keep that Christmas spirit going until next year.
Sixty-seven minutes in, I looked up and noticed the movie had 53 minutes left to go, even though every plot element had been resolved. And that's precisely where the movie went to hell. [23 Nov 2014, p.M21]
White Christmas endures – despite not being a very good movie.
The draggiest of the Crosby holiday vehicles. Even the usually manic Danny Kaye is reduced to a kind of nagging Man Friday. There are some good tunes, though (Berlin was in on this one, too). [19 Dec 1991, p.12]
One of my Christmas MUSTS! I always watch this film, it is loaded with Nostalgia for me!

This is a fun, energetic musical with some fairly impressive choreographed dance sequences - you may find yourself humming along to some of the songs. Its a light and entertaining watch, a nice seasonal watch, although it isn't entirely Christmas themed I suppose but some songs are certainly more relevant to the holidays than others. Its an enjoyable easy watch all the same though. There's nothing to offend anyone, so I'd recommend it on that basis.
