Often laugh-out-loud funny, even (or rather especially) as the silliness escalates in the final half hour, this is a cult cineaste’s treat which rampages gleefully through a china shop of genre conventions. Only killjoys who demand narrative coherence will fail to respond. Read full review

While it's far from being Miike's best film, it's still a very entertaining film with a lot of well choreographed fight sequences, an interesting story, a good soundtrack and decent acting performances. It's worth the watch just for the insane last half hour alone.

OK. As a critic, this is a Miike film so I have to vote it with at least an eight to maintain my status of a great critic. Boring is falling short.

Des débilités, des conneries, du foutoir merdique, du grand n'importe quoi foutraque... sa filmographie ressemble de plus en plus à une immense déchetterie à ciel ouvert ! et des machins même pas divertissants même après trois ou quatre packs d'Asahi et quelques bouteilles de saké... parce que des fois, un naveton complètement con, ça peut faire rigoler... au quatrième, sixième ou neuvième degré sur un malentendu inattendu. Des fois.

Hélas pas ici, car cette sous-connerie de vampire yakuza (ou yakuza vampire ?) qui contamine tout le quartier (?!... hein, des vampires zombies peut-être, vous croyez ? non ?! si...!) se traîne comme un rat crevé dans le caniveau et se révèle aussi palpitant qu'un pigeon écrasé qui n'a pas regardé à droite avant de traverser. Cette débilité bricolée avec le fion est par conséquent apocalyptiquement nulle à chier.… Expand
