Snow Ghosts might take what they're doing a little too seriously, and the album's gothic, macabre undertones can seem silly at times, but it's hard to resist sinking down into the duo's melodramatic doom and gloom.

While it’s a hard sell to recommend something like this in the middle of summer, those brave enough to embrace the darkness will find much to enjoy.

Murmuration’s darkness is a source of foreboding, curiosity and yes, comfort.

Snow Ghosts has arrived with 10 songs straight out the gate, leaving us with a strong first impression and a lingering suspicion that there may not be much fertile ground for Augustus Ghost and Throwing Snow to find together.

Downright terrifying fusion of bass music, pagan folktronica and snarling guitars. [Sep 2013, p.104]
