  1. Oct 4, 2011
With this debut it is clear that O'Halloran and Wiltzie have prosperously joined neutralist ambient and 20th century classical music together. In so doing they've formed aesthetically pleasing sounds which can allure every night-time audience.
  2. Oct 3, 2011
This emotive disc balances a hushed intimacy and vast expanse that places it in a unique sonic terrain.
  3. Oct 3, 2011
Composed by two musicians at the height of their craft, the album reveals itself, thus far, as the apex of a limited genre still forming and as one of our finest contemporary acts of remembrance and ascension.
  4. Oct 3, 2011
Given that the core members are composer Dustin O'Halloran and Stars of the Lid veteran Adam Wiltzie, it's little surprise that both those conventions, and how to work well beyond them, are within their grasp on this debut release.
  5. Oct 3, 2011
The results are, almost inevitably, meditative and cinematic, but also, more unusually for music of this so-called 'post-classical' stripe, rich in melody and genuinely haunting, numinous atmosphere.
  6. Oct 3, 2011
In the end, Wiltzie and O'Halloran's collaboration stands as an impressive album on its own merits and one of the strongest efforts in the world of Stars of the Lid offshoots.
  7. Oct 3, 2011
A beautiful recording but an occasional listen.
