Flawless album from start to finish, Cassandra’s voice is absolutely perfection and the way every songs flows together so perfectly makes for an incredible listen, “Hard Drive” being the biggest stand out, the spoken word/singing combo is amazing and the story being told is so beautiful, perfect album to listen to while going on a walk, getting a coffee, or drawing/painting, I highlyFlawless album from start to finish, Cassandra’s voice is absolutely perfection and the way every songs flows together so perfectly makes for an incredible listen, “Hard Drive” being the biggest stand out, the spoken word/singing combo is amazing and the story being told is so beautiful, perfect album to listen to while going on a walk, getting a coffee, or drawing/painting, I highly recommend it. YES YES YES! Go for a walk while listening to this album right about now. You're going to feel so much better in these harsh times we live in.

An overview on phenomenal nature plays as a brilliant but brief endeavour into peace. The record feels very calm and satisfied. The centerpiece "hard drive " is a weird quasi-spoken word meditation on age filled with word play, samples and conversations. On the cryptic "Michelangelo " she's just as observation taking a three legged dog as a narrative character to stunning proportions. Many of Jenkins’ observations grow more excellent from further rumination and will likely stick with the listener long after the closing chirps of “The Ramble”.

It feels carefully tailored to a fault, making it practically impossible to find its flaws—especially if you find the interchangeable poetic sing-speak of Hard Drive endearing. Nevertheless, this is solipsism of the highest caliber: gentle, hypnotic, fastidious, but above all else, hard to resist.

For all of its brainy machinations, what An Overview on Phenomenal Nature never forgets to do is make a human connection. Jenkins puts herself central to the story and provides the vulnerability to be the patient whose body needs healing hands placed upon it.
