Mar 2, 2022White Lies have been known for their moody and anthemic songs. Each previous album felt like a bunch of melancholy and brooding songs but never felt like a collective. This album hits different. Yes its what we've have come to know from White Lies but its the almost complete work that does it for me.
Catchy, hooky, anthemic and moody af. A great piece of mature work.

UncutFeb 24, 2022Subtle this isn't, but ironically, for a band once compared endlessly to Interpol and Editors and their Joy Division-inspired brooding indie, White Lies Have probably shown more versatility and evolution than either on their latest. [Apr 2022, p.36]

Feb 24, 2022While As I Try Not to Fall Apart probably won't pull in any new fans, it has a sultry, back-of-the-club intensity that speaks to White Lies' ever-deepening artistry.
