Avril Lavigne is filled with similar empty life-affirming mantras and boasts of rebelliousness. Lavigne has mined these themes with success in the past, but here the exploration feels forced, as if she's trying to capture an attitude, and craft a persona, that she no longer lives.

The most listenable song is the Chavril duet Let Me Go, which has zero of either musician’s “edge” and a whole lot of adult contemporary schmaltz.

We have so many good times here, ''Rock N Roll'' is completely debauched and is what makes it work so well, also with ''Here 's To Never Growing Up'', who else could sing these two songs without being Avril? 'Summer'' is a flash-back of affairs led by a good vibe and showing what came when delivery to rap. ''Let Me Go'' explores well Lavigne vocals and Chad 's a good personality to the music. ''Give You What You'' Like is perhaps the most curious track, is a huge vulnerability as well, but at the same time an incredible aggressiveness, is without doubt one of the best tracks on the album, also featured the vocals. Bad Girl is completely unpretentious and weird, with the robotic vocals that make the treat even greater in this case. Hello Kitty is stupidly fun, other music not imagine anyone behind unless the same ''You Ain't See Nothing See Nothing Yet'' remember old times of their work, it is so easy to digest it and let it flow. ''Sippin 'On Sunshine'' is a great track, very fun to listen to, but the other side is no big deal. ''Hello Heartache'' is strange, in a good sense, his lalalala in the beginning, you do not know what to expect, but over time it marks its place on the album, showing completely new and touching. ''Falling Fast'' is an incredible sensitivity, Avril is crazy with a guitar, and it's no different here, is a show of sweet voice and honesty. ''Hush Hush'' the last track has a great role to play, and she does it without the least effort proving a powerful ballad .

Well, Avril Lavigne can not be the factor that the world looks today, may not have the performance of various pop divas, but she makes up for it all with quality and honesty. Without a doubt, is one of the best albums of the genre that came out this year.

Pop perfection. Avril Lavigne brings out the best of the artist who doesn't want to grow up... but she did. And she's trying some new thingsPop perfection. Avril Lavigne brings out the best of the artist who doesn't want to grow up... but she did. And she's trying some new things like EDM music and hard rock. Though if feels a little "all over the place", the album is certainly one of the most genuine in Avril's career. It is easily one (if not the one) of the best records of the year. It's a shame we won't get to see it topping the charts. Congratulations, Avril! Full Review »
