Great songs great voice and a very natural beauty about this album, an underrated record and artist who doesn't seem to get the air play he deserves. A few of these songs really delve into the type of songwriting which is extremely rare a brutal bitter sweet journey such as 'the man that time forgot' and 'back into the woods'. So what you have is an album that's very recognisably Ed; the Steve Gullick photography, the tipsy melancholy and romance, the ballads... but without the need for too many frills it sounds complete, nine gorgeous songs that sit beautifully together.

It's a gem for Harcourt fans and the sweetest of introductions for new listeners.

It’s a strong start to the record, which becomes even stronger when Wandering Eye is taken into consideration.
