____ "Big Wows" is the third studio recording of Stealing Sheep, distinguished by eclectic sound, ease and subtle irony. Through the steel sounds of drums, sticky bass lines, the growl of synthesizers and dramatic machines, girls give out their firm melodies, so filled with neon fun. And I want to dance!

Big Wows is a risky, but remarkable move for the trio--even the weaker songs in the lineup offer a buzzy dance break, densely layering up the punchy synths and calculated, sharp percussion.

Big Wows is highly polished and lacks the intimacy and fragility that made Into Their Diamond Sun such a compelling listen. The pay-off is a more distant but fascinating record that charts their evolution as a band.

There's not a weak song or wasted moment to be found; the trio write with a lovely economy of emotion and have sharpened their hook-making skills to a very fine point.
