    British Lion might surprise longtime Ed Heads in that it's more redolent of the sort of '80s hard-rock bands who dominated the radio waves when Maiden couldn't, like Dokken and even Whitesnake.

Sadly, to say his fellow performers are not the accomplished musicians he plays with in Iron Maiden is a massive understatement. It sounds like a demo belonging to some newly formed band that was forced to be released on a major record label and passed off as an album. Most of the songs are immediately forgettable. The singer has very little vocal presence and even Harris' writing/performing contributions are not really enough to salvage it. Would not recommend to anyone who doesn't consider themselves an Iron Maiden fan either.… Expand
