    Not a fan at all but I have been listening to every single LP that came out. She´s definitely a visible and unavoidable artist in the POP/ R´n´B scene whether you like her music or not. If someone tells you that he/she does not know who Mariah Carey is, He/she´s obviously lying! This record is, contrary to all the stuff she put out lately, a sober but relevant piece of work thanks to theNot a fan at all but I have been listening to every single LP that came out. She´s definitely a visible and unavoidable artist in the POP/ R´n´B scene whether you like her music or not. If someone tells you that he/she does not know who Mariah Carey is, He/she´s obviously lying! This record is, contrary to all the stuff she put out lately, a sober but relevant piece of work thanks to the production which, without flirting with the exuberance of alt /nu R´n´B, brings some singular elements. It´s still mainstream and baked for wide audience but Mariah seems more focused in bringing effortless subtle, discreet and smooth vocals in order to put the music in the forefront, giving us the opportunity to catch on details. Listening to old tracks, I often had the feeling that her voice was always overhanging the instrumentals. I believe that for many fans, it was mostly the appeal in listening her music. They were, are still searching for that Diva touch through sugary romantic ballads & vocal techniques more than being surprised in the election of a new and daring artistic direction. I do believe that she took that step forward and the result is really fresh and surprising. Only 9 energetic tracks, each one quite effective and the strategic choice in putting the only ballad, her typical trademark, at the end of the track list keeping alive the groovy flow from track to track and giving the wrong impression that the album is short. I still believe that if you feel this way, when the music stops, it means that the LP is cohesive, strong and relevant.… Expand

    Everything amazing about Mariah with the addition of a modern production that soars her above the rest. Contemporary R&B done right. There's no mumbling or tracks that'll bore you to sleep. These melodies are guaranteed to have you hooked after just a listen or two.

    This album is extremely cohesive and is a return to form for Mariah. Blurring the lines between R&B and trap, Mariah's latest effort doesn't disappoint and is, arguably, her best body of work since 1997's Butterfly. Buy a copy today and relish the vibes and lyricism of Mariah Carey. 10/10

    Mariah is my favorite artist of all time. This album is notably one of her best - up there with 'Butterfly,' and 4 years ago 'Me. I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse.' There are so many classic moments. Vocally, this is the best cohesive representation. If she were to perform the entire 'Caution' album live, this is exactly how she would sound. My favorite track is 'Portrait,' because IMariah is my favorite artist of all time. This album is notably one of her best - up there with 'Butterfly,' and 4 years ago 'Me. I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse.' There are so many classic moments. Vocally, this is the best cohesive representation. If she were to perform the entire 'Caution' album live, this is exactly how she would sound. My favorite track is 'Portrait,' because I am awestruck by her ballads. Another standout for me is 'Giving Me Life.' Such a genius way to sample 'Trading Places' starring Eddie Murphy. I did find that there were some moments leaving me wanting more vocally and musically, but I won't get greedy.     The production is incredible, I love how she used Drake's producer, but yet it still has that signature Mariah feel. Her songwriting is incredible as always, and vocals were perfect, not oversinging which I appreciate! This album did not disappoint! 10 out of 10 definitely

I hope to immerse myself further in depth in her discography and I feel this is a wonderful starting point. highlights for me include the stunning classic R&B of first single With You, the smooth PBR&B centerpiece Giving Me Life, One Mo' Gen, The Distance and the album's most dazzling banger: A No No. it's an immediate highlight, and her harmonized A6 feels like a victory. it feels like that scene in an indie movie where a peak in a newfound relationship is flourishing. Mariah delivered. a Q4 stunner. will absolutely end up on my (as well as that of many other pop music listeners') best-of 2018 list. to all first time listeners (there have gotta be some out there): start with With You.    … Expand

    Mariah Carey managed to put out a piece of art that can only be described as r&b perfection. This kind of work, that required only a few components on the creation team, could only be reached by a true r&b genius. Shout out to the 28 years of reign of Mariah Carey. The others r&b girls can't relate to this energy.

    This is Mariah’s best record since The Emancipation of Mimi and is a cohesive masterpiece. This production is very unique and is the most ambitious of the year. Mariah has lots of fun yet is vulnerable enough to be relatable in songs like “Portrait” and “With You”. Highly Recommended for all time

    Mariah did not disappoint! Her voice sounds so good in these songs and she made new music sound contemporary and still sound authentic to herself! It's not her most vocally demanding album but it's fresh and the it's very cohesive in my opinion

    Amazing penmanship by Mariah Carey and a truly outstanding production. Everything is contained and cohesive but by no means ordinary. The record is deceptively lowkey, but ask Mariah why all classics are so difficult to master. She sure knows the answer.

    Simply amazing! Her best album in a long time, which is saying a lot since all of her recent albums have been amazing. The production is modern while the lyrics and vocals are 100 percent Mimi. What an amazing album.

    It's really great to know that a 90's diva managed to make one of the best career albums of almost 50 years. Mariah's always reinventing herself to get the best results in music, which almost always works out. "Caution" is an album that has an RnB mixed with trap, something that had effect in the quality of the album. Mariah Carey is a legend in music, and her 15th album confirms this again.

    It has been a lot since I do not like an album of her from the first listening and that was that happened here. She gave some electronic vibes to some songs making an album with alternative r&b undertones. I am more than happy with the result even if she did only ten songs.

    Well Mariah recognizes that time passes but she is still fresh and her Caution is out of line, she returns with a contemporary album and with her voice shows the maturity she has achieved since her last album, finally "With you" stands out as her pure essence of its R&B roots of the 90s.

    A solid cohesive work, yet somehow it lacks something. Maybe i'm used to her over the top vocals, cause these whispery melodies get unpleasant over time. She proved that she still can get good albums out, but i just want her to actually experiment.

From GTFO to Portraits, the iconic voice of Mimi walks through styles and phrases that lead us to a more elegant and mature R & B trip that she has given us in her career. The best tracks are GTFO, Caution, A No No, The Distance, Giving Me Life & Portraits. Caution is Mariah at her best.

    Caution is her best album in years! I highly would reccomend this album since it's not overproduced and autotuned like her old album MIAM. Her tonal quality is amazing in this album and the songs are great!

    Some very new and current sounds for Mariah, she kept it interesting while still making it giving it her classic sound. Probably the most cohesive album this year. My standouts were A No No, best R&B song of the year and total bop, Caution a mid-tempo with a sultry production, and catchy chorus, and Giving Me Life, a mid-tempo with an erie production, most interesting track on the album,Some very new and current sounds for Mariah, she kept it interesting while still making it giving it her classic sound.     I love this album. It's different from the albums Mariah has made before but it really sounds like the real Mariah that most people don't know. She is showcasing her real self and the vocals are perfect. I really love her style of writing songs. She is definitely blessed with real talents. I'm so happy to be existing during her time.

    It's a short, 10 track album but is void of any filler. Every song is ear candy and the songwriting is brilliant.
    One last thing to say is this is the first post-90s album where Mariah fully embraces her voice for what it is today; any song on this album could be sung live with ease by Mariah. With endless recordings, performances, vocal acrobatics and age it is impossible for Mariah to sound as she did in her youth. The fact that she embraces this and isn't trying to fool anyone any more is amazing! She feels like an artist you can connect with again. And, by the way, her current voice can still run circles around most current pop artists.

    Best album since Emancipation. Best track (not) on the album, Runway. Sampling Butterfly .... genius!

    Btw, if you find the album a bit short, search out the remixes to The Distance, GTFO, A No No.

    Plus "Unforgettable Mariah Carey Acoustic Remix" , "You're Mine (Stripped)" and "Close My Eyes (Orange Clouds Version)".

    Beyond impressed with Mariah's efforts on this project. I've seen a lot of comments saying best album since The Emancipation of Mimi and I have to strongly agree.     Best album for years, she really did something with this album, full of great songs and bops, a nice ballad called Portrait which is very personal. Giving Me Life was unexpected but took a great turn and it's one of my favourites! A great album!

    The legend. You don't need to proceed with CAUTION! This album is amazing. So dope, with good vibes, vocals, lyric..... Mariah knows what we need. You can hate her but you can't live without her power. Huge songs, not afraid, free to create, this is the legend.

    This album is so good! Pure bliss!
    I’ve been a fan since 1998 but very critical about her music. Always expect the best from her and this is it. Mariah delivers a beautifully constructed piece of work that makes you want to listen to it over and over again.
    So current yet so attached to her roots.

    Mariah Carey has his career ups and downs. In the last decade lower than high. Caution is a work that walks on a paved road, without taking risks. The tracks are nothing different from the sonority of two decades ago. I expected something more different from Mariah.

    The first few singles were already disappointing to me, very average unmemorable songs. The whole album has only 10 songs and the whole project is very average, even the better songs are forgettable and the whole album is painfully bland.

    I found this album to be pretty bland. After listening through once, there was really only a song or two that I thought, "I'd like to listen to that again." Pretty much the entire album has one vibe and the songs more or less sound the same.

    Mariah is back and more stronger than ever.

    With the newalbum "Caution" Mariah has redeemed herself as a versatile artist, exploring with new sounds, this album is one of her best and she did THAT 30 years into her career.

    Caution is not just the best album of 2018 but probably the best album by Miss Mariah Carey. After a long period without releasing a new album, Mariah created the perfect R&B album without POP influence. The best songs are Giving me Life, 8th Grade or Caution. But I love every single track on this album

    Um dos meus Álbuns favoritos da Mariah. Suepr coeso, com um toque de contemporâneo R&B, Porém com uma sonoridade do atual gênero. O álbum não tem muitas em uptempo, mas provou não precisar delas para fazer um grande álbum!
