Overproduced, simplistic music. Her vocals aren’t nearly as interesting as they used to be on her earlier albums, even though they may be more “impressive” to a vocal coach. Babylon is the only good song.

This is a good and really cohesive album, but unfortunately with some flaws.
First thing first - this whole album could be a runway soundtrack and this is incredible. Each song is sonically connected to each other, so listening to the whole album is a nice experience, and if you want to listen to the songs separately - that's also fine. Lyrically is a basic Gaga level. The club/disco /90s

Each song is sonically connected to each other, so listening to the whole album is a nice experience, and if you want to listen to the songs separately - that's also fine. Lyrically is a basic Gaga level. The club/disco /90s vibe is really pleasing on the album.

The heavy production otherwise is really... noisy and flat at some point. I caught myself listening to the album and "missing" some songs because they blend with each other. I also have a feeling that Gaga wanted to recreate Confessions on the dancefloor experience with this album and somehow she made it, but (as I said) in a flat way.

+ Cohesive album with really cool sound
    + Good album idea
+ Great collaborations with other artists
    + Rain On Me

    - Some tracks are overproduced
    - The cohesivity of this album makes it flat at some point (lack of standout tracks)
    - Lyrics
    - Stupid Love

Lady GaGa comes back with a new genre of music after her country-esque album Joanne flopped in 2016. This time the album is filled with annoying and dated instrumentals. The lyrics are tacky and lack common sense. Highlights include Sour Candy feat. an unkown girl group from China?, 911 and Enigma.
All the other tracks are mediocre at best. Plastic Doll and Fun Tonight are probably GaGa's

I expected something like “Born this way” but I was bored this way. I know she’s really talented but I believe that this album is unbearable. While I was listening to it I thought that I had accidentally clicked on the repeat button. This is an average album. The songs are not bad but they're not memorable to me, few songs stood out to me at first but upon re-listening to them I lost interest. The best tracks are Alice, Enigma, plastic doll and sour candy, but I'm not in love with them. Imo the album lacks diversity, and the sound is pretty outdated and doesn't show gaga's skills, and her vocals weren't really good in it.

I understand it's hard to be objective when you are following an artist to a point of stanning (and pop stars seem to always have such followings) but I don't understand how fans don't feel let down by this record. Through 16 tracks you have 3 completely out of place interludes which, with their lush orcherstral arrangements emphasize the basic sounds that will follow. Elsewhere, the record is struggling to find a melody, or worse, a chorus. It reeks of cheap tricks to get streaming points and that chart success - from the interludes, to exetremely short running time of songs, to unnecessary A-list featurings which will definitely generate the streams. But was it really necessary to drag someone of Elton John-s stature to sing on that? Like really, given the Gaga-s reputation you'd imagine they'd go for a power ballad if they ever decide they should naturally recall together. Why any of these two stooped this low is beyond me. I give it 2 points for an amazingly slick production which never bores *what can bore you at 2 mins though), but that's just how far an impressive producing can get you. Expand

Nothing stands out, and the tracks that catch a little bit of one's attention are either collaborations, or songs that remind us a bit too much of someone else's work (hello there, Babylon!). This album would be ok for a new artist just cutting the cord from some good years working for Disney. For Lady Gaga it is a new low, which is not the worst because the creepy and distasteful collaboration with R Kelly still exists, despite being conveniently removed right before the Oscar's ceremony. Totalmente datado, com músicas repetitivas e um pop totalmente saturado. Gaga tenta emplacar a ideia de um novo planeta, mas pelo visto esse lugar é sugado para dentro de um buraco negro onde ficam os álbuns esquecíveis.
