The cumulative result of these exploratory tracks is a meditative collection that stays true to Submotion Orchestra's house background despite exploring new auditory combinations.

Without it being a slight on Wood’s performance, it also adds to a beneficiary mix of vocal viewpoints, aimed at tightening the Orchestra’s hold over main stages and secret, more intimate tents out back.

This is a record full of brilliance and charm, but is front-loaded; the second half loses the soulful, melancholic quality of the first.

It’s certainly not the most exciting piece of music to come out of Submotion’s instruments--that would certainly still go to their debut LP, Finest Hour--but it’s a pleasant one nonetheless, one which radiates positivity and hope, albeit in a slightly different manner than they may have done it in the past.
