Another rare instance of an artist coming up with a classic a decade after what seemed like the peak of his career (Clipse’s Hell Hath No Fury), and the only thing that could’ve made it better was if he pre-released “Infrared” so that Drake could’ve responded and we could’ve had an album with “The Story of Adidon” on it.

While DAYTONA could easily have been Pusha-T’s victory lap, it only builds on the heft of his weighty legacy.

While ‘My Name Is My Name’ was a great album, this is a masterclass in design: in contrast to the 20+ track albums of this streaming era, Kanye’s ruthless editing ensures every song, every bar and every sample have purpose.

In many ways, Daytona replicates Jay-Z and No I.D.'s 2017 rap highlight 4:44: two older men who simply practice their craft, their legacies already secure.

This is not the King Push we were led to expect, but it is a quality record in its own right.

Despite the hardcore gangsta rap nature of the album, the hooks are surprisingly unapologetic in their hookiness.

Brevity sharpens the ex-Clipse rapper’s focus, though: rarely has he sounded as urgent, even with his signature laconic tempo, as he does on bravura opener If You Know You Know; or as authoritative as on Santeria, which packs three different movements into under three minutes.

The perfect example for ‘QUALITY OVER QUANTITY ALBUM’.

Better than Kids see Ghosts and Ye together. Beyond excellent West's production, here contains great rhymes. Pusha T is better emcee than KidBetter than Kids see Ghosts and Ye together. Beyond excellent West's production, here contains great rhymes. Pusha T is better emcee than Kid Cudi and West, although second's influence and importance. Its only defect is being too short as same as great, although "Daytona" competes with Monae's "Dirty Computer" as a 2018 year's best album. Expand

9.5 but round it up so 10. This album had VERY few misses and showed what we see time and time again. Kanye and Pusha have insane chemistry9.5 but round it up so 10. This album had VERY few misses and showed what we see time and time again. Kanye and Pusha have insane chemistry and When pushed in a corner, KANYE ALWAYS PRODUCES (MBDTF, 808s, etc.) Kanye's production skills are matched by few and he let his production compliment Push in a godly way. Two very talented artists and a near perfect album. Expand

87 Which rounds up to a 9. Daytona by Pusha T, is probably the greatest project from Pusha, alongside with his album as a Clipse, Hell Hath No87 Which rounds up to a 9. Daytona by Pusha T, is probably the greatest project from Pusha, alongside with his album as a Clipse, Hell Hath No Fury. In this album the production by Kanye West was one of his finest yet, which is covered by bars from the ex-Clipse rapper. With a short 21 minutes, Pusha and Kanye made the most out of the album and delivered a fine album. A lot of message was able to be extracted from this album, such as Pusha T's drug dealing as a teenager, disses to Drake on Infrared and also Kanye West addressing his political views on what would meek do. The beats from the music seem like something from MBDTF, since they are on the borderline of trap beats and old school hip hop beats. The greatest tracks on this album for me was Santeria, The Games We Play and If You Know you Know. So far, upon releasing this album, this album is currently the best of 2018 since the only flaw is that the songs were not able to reach that upper level quality and none of the songs are catchy enough to be remembered in 2030 as songs. Terrible album. Worst one he ever put out! My ears hurt! The songs have no life and sound like fillers.
