    Subtly was never Muse's thing, I get that. They loved to be simple and bombastic. The music was never good but at least they were fun. On 'Drones' the band fail to do even that, each track is lousy, generic and embarrassing. Bar the excruciating narrative, the tunes themselves sound horrendous. 'Dead Inside' and 'Psycho' rip off Personal Jesus but recreate it via the most generic ofSubtly was never Muse's thing, I get that. They loved to be simple and bombastic.     Hillariously bad. They once again managed to put the worst of all worlds - read genres - together and mix it in absolute tasteless way with result worse than its parts. Seriously there are couple of songs which would aspire for my Worst of 2015 so far, others are just plainly uninspired. Overall it might end up below T2L.

    They hace lost the mojo. Not enough energy, some track are too long and boring.... Some of them can be in the new Disney kid film forzen... The worst album from them, i miss the power they caracter... Bellamy is too rock star now, I think he is in love with the teenagers fans..

    Worst Muse album they have released. Many of the tracks feel amateurish, as tho they have been found from archive studio jams / demos. This album lacks creativity and has a lot more "tacky" that i would have ever expected. VERY disappointing

    The album couldn't be worse. The melodies are bad and the chosen theme is also the worse they could have choose..... Drones? Seriously? I can't believe that Muse made such a sh+tty album.

    One of the most useless album in history. Especially if coming from a incredible band like Muse. I think they should stop making records and tour with old songs. It's the second failure in a row.

    This feels like production line Muse: big riffs, bass squelches, conspiratorial dialogue, but few new ideas. [Aug 2015, p.88]

    Aside from a few crunching riffs and a smattering of neat melodies, there’s very little to recommend within Drones.
