    The production on Dummy Boy is amazing. Tay Keith, Scott Storch, Murda Beatz and Ronny J among others lace 6 with some beats that match his "wavy" sound and style perfectly. The tracks are heavy on the bottom and have lots of room for 6 to flex his sing-song melodic flow.

    There are many bad albums that came out this year but there are few where the artist is the absolute worst part of the entire project. Lil Xan's Total XAnarchy is terrible throughout because of him and terrible production that drags down guests but 6ix9ine somehow has decent to good production to back up his god awful lyrics and rap style. Gone are the hype songs like Gunmo that at least feel a bit original in their delivery and instead, he tries to replicate the dozens of sounds that trended throughout the year. All of his guest features, from Tory Lanez to two Kanye West verses, outshine him and are the only reason to hear the song. If you honestly needed a reason to ever listen to it.… Full Review »

You can take that for better or worse depending if you can stand the guy. He relies on gimmicks and trends and I definitely get the sense he is using his meme potential to push the albums (the cover, song titles, lyrics). It leaves some questions though, How long will his tricks last? Will people still be interested in hearing from this guy say a couple years from now? Is anyone actually listening cause the music? Cause right now (especially with his federal case) it's not looking good for the guy.… Full Review »
