  1. If you are looking for big-hearted, easy-to-swallow guitar pop, you could do much worse than Guster. In fact, you'd be hard-pressed to do much better.
  2. A charming collection of breezy, hook-filled pop songs.

With Easy Wonderful, Guster has attained that perfect pop rock sound, yet hasn't abandoned its roots as an acoustic trio.

After 15 years of recording together, the members of Guster deliver their poppiest, most cohesive effort with Easy Wonderful.
  5. There's something happily uncomplicated--and at times proudly uncool--about his band's sixth album, Easy Wonderful, like a 1990s Baja hoodie that you can't bring yourself to throw out.
  6. If Guster can grow old and still sound so damn cheerful, maybe everything won't be so drab after all.
  7. The Tufts-bred pop rock quartet is still interested in layering varied instrumentation- banjos and synthesizers, warped electric guitars and clanging bells--to achieve different textures, Easy just feels a bit cleaner and less symphonically ambitious. But that doesn't mean it's less diverse.

Guster's latest instalment is everything that could be expected from this amazing group. It's novel but familiar a little like a new home style dessert. It presents with clear direction and identity. Time was taken and the scaffolding on the tracking has clearly bee carefully considered. I found the album truly engaging from go to wo. Waves of melodic guitars laden with breath taking peaks, deep valleys and subtle transitions are woven gracefully around and through an equally impressive vocal showcase. Almost all instrumentation compliments, resolves or creates anticipation. These guys just get it and they do it better than anyone. Well worth the wait. Expand

Its a little to "Im hitting my mid 30's and I love my kids" dad music which I guess is where they are. Expand
