    If ‘Walls’ found Tomlinson still figuring out what this part of his artistic journey should be, ‘Faith In The Future’ feels much more assured. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel of modern guitar music, but is a solid step forward as the musician continues what he’s acknowledged will be “an ever-evolving process”.

    If anything, however, new album ‘Faith In The Future’ is simply too nice. The songwriting is sturdy and well-formed, leaning on his indie roots – you can hear ghosts of the Gallaghers, whispers of Chris Martin – without ever truly channelling something dangerous, or edgy. ... It just doesn’t raise the pulse, or quicken the blood-flow in a way you might long for.

    i thought the album took on a new sound for tomlinson, anyone who has been following his career will see the development of the musician andi thought the album took on a new sound for tomlinson, anyone who has been following his career will see the development of the musician and his stylistic choices. The new album has a early indie rock feel and although not taking too much of a change in tone, if you are into a mix of soft rock and early 2000s indie pop you will adore this album. The song, written all over your face, is my favourite song of the year so far!… Expand

    Everything on this album is amazing: the vocals, the lyrics, the melodies... Definitely one of the best albums I've ever heard, a masterpiece!

    This album is so beautifully written and many of the songs are from a perspective that i haven't seen used a lot in music, it is comforting,This album is so beautifully written and many of the songs are from a perspective that i haven't seen used a lot in music, it is comforting, powerful, melodious all at the same time. It has something for everyone no matter what you like listening to, it's incredibly insightful and it feels like a hug. The production on all of the tracks is insanely good the way the songs are structured is genius, it deserves all the credit in the world. Banger after banger! So proud of Louis to be able to adapt his sound from downright pop to a more punk/alternative vibe while still keeping elements from the kind of music he has always made.
