Fix Yourself, Not the World isn’t going to change the face of music, but nor is it going to do anything to impede the Wombats’ latter-day progress.

The best tracks were released last year: Ready for the High is a deliciously weird cut-and-shut, and Method to the Madness has a lovely collapsed feeling. Mostly the album settles for sprightly mediocrity, and is often quite pleasurable, if you define pleasure as the absence of pain.

I'm not anybody, so I have very little to contribute to the public discourse. so I try to engage with the internet in a very limited capacity, so when I say this metacritic account was made just to leave this review, I'm not overstating how much I enjoyed this album. Since this album dropped, a song from this album has been stuck in my head. Every moment of silence I have is tinged with impatience for the next time I can put on my headphones. My enjoyment was subjective, so too will yours be, but I really wanted to help improve the score to make improve the reception of this album. Full Review »
