Really not a single bad song on the entire album but "At My Heels" "Slow" and "When We're Dancing" are especially excellent. As you'll have read - it's got a bit of an 80's vibe going on - lots of synths. Twin Shadow is really good at making his songs atmospheric and giving them a kind of "feel". There is a predominantly dark feel to the record, like some of Depeche Modes better stuff but a bit more indie and a lot more chilled out. Mostly very good songs and really looking forward to hearing his next effort.… Expand

Jr hooks you in with the second track When Were Dancing which transports you to an 80's night club in downtown somewhere. The album has very floaty melodies that make you think of them long after you've finished the album. Fans of Grizzly Bear can feel the influence on some of the later tracks that feel more spacey and experimental. This isn't ground breaking music, but its an honest attempt to do it right. I'd give this album 7/10.
