I’m a little bit disappointed it’s probably one of her least best albums
I just think this album is all over the place.
I don’t really think this has a concept and doesn’t need to have one super big idea I know but I think is not cohesive in it’s even on its sound I think it’s very confusing also the songs as a whole are not quite as great as the past records I think maybe we put the bar

I think maybe we put the bar too high when it comes about Björk. Because she’s excellent. It’s not a bad record no at all it’s just not her best whatsoever

This is definitly not björk best and i do not enjoy the album at all. But i have to say that Fossora is very well produced and it has new sounds from björk's usuals.

Not an easy listen - as one might expect - but definitely a rich, rewarding one.

Fossora is an incredible and vulnerable project that refuses any easy categorisation. Björk’s dives into sonic obfuscation have never once eclipsed her refusal to be anything except open-hearted and honest. Her power is in how she allows herself to feel and let these emotions guide her artistic expression.

Oddly charming, goblincore aesthetic, one that capitalises on Björk’s unique strengths: the arrangements on Fossora are among the most complex and lavish of her career. [Nov 2022, p.58]
