Really??Jan 19, 2008Sharon Jones did it first and still does it better...and to my recollection has never been boo-ed off stage.

CKFeb 18, 2008Amy has a nice voice, but her songs don't do anything for me. I can't recommend this album to anyone.

ChadKDec 24, 2007Why does the media love her so much? This album doesn't even reach the mediocracy of Back to Black, yet it still receives rave reviews. Puzzeling, huh?

JohnFeb 16, 2008She really has an awful voice. The only reason to listen to this kind of crap is when you want to be a whiny poseur who "thinks drugs are the worst thing in the world". Sorry to say, but the only reason to listen to this is because she is a really sad person.

ChrisHDec 23, 2007Horrendous, souless, cynically produced, public school brat, neo-pop-jazz, trendwhore dross. I'm sure you love it. Don't you?

Winehouse's record has the feeling of being allowed to grow on its own--without being meddled with and fussed over.
-
Frank is an honest, refreshingly personal record which, though very occasionally strays into easy jazz, has Gucci bags of personality.

Entertainment WeeklyHer first album--a UK smash in '03, now being issued here-- bristles with fiercer intelligence, though it lacks the classic soul-warmth of the Mark Ronson-produced Black. [16 Nov 2007, p.79]
