Glitterbust is not unlike Gordon's other recent duo, Body/Head, though less bold. Still, it feels like a gift to spend time in the oceanic space Gordon and Knost summon, letting its nuances wash over you.

An exploratory work, Glitterbust nevertheless has an appealing serenity that makes it unique within Gordon's discography.

There’s next to no tempo to speak of, and they assiduously cultivate a studied monotony, but one can’t escape the sense that this slab is, secretly, the ultimate grower.

Glitterbust is the sound of someone coming out on the other side of that moment, armed with heightened instincts and unfaltering confidence.

The record is less a head-on collision of Knost's signature brand of hazy slacker pop and Gordon's famed confrontational leftfield punk than it is a complete reconsideration of the pair's prior dynamics.

Though it too often lingers when a punch is needed, Glitterbust carries plenty of weight.
