A gorgeous and welcome display of growth... [#155, p.68]
  2. 70
God Bless The Blake Babies is more refined, more textured, and more produced than anything from the band's heyday.
  3. Another album of somewhat charming and unexceptional tunes.
  4. A sweet and sometimes bitter pack of world-weary bubblegum pop.
  5. The band sounds richer, fuller and more confident. Sometimes they also sound a little too slick for their own good -- a nagging concern with "Disappear", among others -- but the studio glitz is matched by artistic maturity.

There's no revist from the muse that delivered the exquisite Temptation Eyes back in 1990. [Sep 2001, p.107]
