Compared to their previous album "Results may vary" Golden Cobra has some great riffs and catchy rhymes from Fred Durst.

A more than welcomed return for Limp Bizkit after the extremely disappointing Results may vary. This time they're returning to their source material, with some good old angry fun, immature verses from Fred Durst and an aggressive heavy metal sound with all the band reunited.

After the disappointment that was "Results May Vary" and a several year hiatus, it's nice to see Limp Bizkit knocking it out of the park with this album. This is one rocking album. The perfect stuff to blast at a party and just rock out to. Overall "Gold Cobra" is an excellent way to re-introduce Limp Bizkit back into the music scene. It's some of their best work and I can't wait for what's next. I give this album a near-perfect score of 9.9/10.

Instrumentally one of the strongest albums I've ever heard, lyrically decent by Bizkit standards (which isn't saying much) but vocally lacking. I appreciate the rawness but I also miss the 1999-2003 Bizkit sound (particuarly the more pop-oriented riffs, Fred's voice and Lethal's scratching).

Almost every song stands out in some way, what with the riffs of "Bring it Back", "Douche Bag",

Almost every song stands out in some way, what with the riffs of "Bring it Back", "Douche Bag", "Autotunage", "Why Try", "Killer in You" and "Shotgun"; the amazing yet simplistic synth of "Loser"; the chorus of "Gold Cobra"; the climax and lyricism of "Walking Away" and finally Lethal's session on "90.2.10".

"Shark Attack" is by far the weakest song on the album. Could be passable if Fred still retained his old voice.

Standard bonus tracks are also amazing, particularly "My Own Cobain" for its ending.

Exclusive tracks just make me cringe.

    A solid 8.

I have to give it 8/10 because of the metal it's got, the other 2 points are because they still make lame songs. Limp Bizkit didn't change at all. There's still a ton of swearing, terrible rhyming, and a majority of meaningless songs. However, (like before), they save themselves with the instrumentals and terribly catchy lyrics.

The technical sound of the album, as well as the lyrics, is arguably better than anything they have ever done. This isn't the gold standard for originality, but it might be for sticking to your guns. Bizkit is what it is. LB has always made better overall music than they are ever given credit for. Durst's 'contributions' are just as dull as they ever have been. But he's the reason anyone cares. Sometimes a negative is a positive, and with Bizkit this is the case. That said, if you were ever a fan of 90's rap-rock (which was more of a precursor to nu metal than part of it) then 'Gold Cobra' will fit nicely into your rotation. Overall, this is the best effort out of Bizkit since 'Significant Other' which says something in itself. Expand

i got his cd yesterday, and listened it over and over again. Limp bizkit follows its old music, but with better lyrics, and better rhythm. The songs are in my opinion also harder than 10 years ago. The song Gold Cobra is simply amazing. The album is a must buy for lb fans, but those who never were into them, should try this album anyways.
