    An invigorating soundtrack and at the same time a soundtrack that recalls the original 1978 film.
    It really is one of the best of the year.

    John Carpenter and his collaborators deliver another magnificent soundtrack that like the new film, feels revitalized.
    Atmospheric and dark. Simply wonderful.

    Producido por John Carpenter y su hijo Cody Carpenter, el músico generacional cuya personalidad recupera aquellas tendencias retro que impuso su padre, confabulan a favor de la última aportación que hace la saga de Halloween. Esta combinación de padre e hijo definitivamente brinda una ambientación que vale toda la pena escuchar. Renace aquella melodía que estipuló a la película como unProducido por John Carpenter y su hijo Cody Carpenter, el músico generacional cuya personalidad recupera aquellas tendencias retro que impuso su padre, confabulan a favor de la última aportación que hace la saga de Halloween. Esta combinación de padre e hijo definitivamente brinda una ambientación que vale toda la pena escuchar. Renace aquella melodía que estipuló a la película como un icono del terror y también presentó un símbolo musical que es imposible no identificar. La narrativa que maneja David Gordon Green en la película está decorada con la música no solo con asertividad, sino con una firma y propuesta estética que moderniza ese sentido del terror sin quitarle su esencia original. Por lo tanto el soundtrack explora esos golpes con un electronic que empuja al espectador a temerle a cada paso que da TheShape o Michael Myers; genera una estática que promueve el ruido y la alteración en varios momentos y también explora la capacidad del sonido minimalista pero totalmente rítmico que logra crear tensión, suspenso, expectativa, atención, presión y, junto a la imagen, una combinación de planos audiográficos que no espantan, pero sí aterran, provocan escalofríos y amarran al asiento. La música no es la mega producción, pero eso es lo que despierta la atención, pues con un simple órgano se construye la totalidad de aquella tensión que nos despierta no por ser ruidoso, sino por ser misterioso y discreto: que provoca ansiedad y pánico constante. La adaptación que se hace de esa sensación es exitosa y John Carpenter le da el relevo a la persona adecuada para explorarlo y recrearlo más a fondo en el futuro, si es que se presenta su necesidad.… Expand

    J'ai juste adoré, voilà flemme d'écrire une critique... non bon sérieusement c'est la meilleure BO de Carpenter, beaucoup de morceaux sont tristes et effrayants. Voilà allez c'est fini !

    While familiar-sounding, the soundtrack brings something new to the table instead of being a pointless retread, and in general, it just sounds amazing. Definitely worthwhile for any Carpenter or Halloween fans.

    On Halloween, there's nothing bar the title tracks to indicate this is anything more than a random grab-bag of middle-of-the-road electronica.

    Carpenter is working in service to his own nostalgia, and he understands intuitively what his score is here to do. It is not meant to be frightening. It is meant to make you feel warm and fuzzy things about John Carpenter, about the first time you saw the original Halloween.
