What a comeback! This album shows how much the Jonas Brothers evolved individually but also as a band in the past 10 years. Pop perfection. Feels euphoric, fresh, and very cohesive. I really enjoyed the sound especially amongst the music we have now. Doesn't sound the same unlike what some other reviews here say. Cohesion doesn't equal sounding the same. Happiness Begins is one of the stronger pop albums of recent times.

Being a dedicated fan from the beginning, I was so nervous to hear what they came back with, but they exceeded my expectations and quite honestly, this is now the soundtrack of summer! I love most of the songs (like Hesitate, Rollercoaster, Strangers, Comeback, Sucker), but on the other hand, I don't like songs like Trust, I Believe or Used to Be. As a fan, I'll probably hear it until I love it more but in general, I'm pleased with this album

This is their best album yet. it gives a feel of who they are individually and somehow finds a way to be cohesive and unify them as a group too. The songs are fresh and the album itself feels like the most honest they've ever been with themselves. Lyrics are both playful and meaningful. They're starting to find a balance. I loved it. Would recommend.

From 2010 being the last time the Jonas brothers released their last album, to 2019 with the release of this album, there is nothing but growth. Happiness Begins is a perfect combination of Nick’s solo projects, Dnce and the overall feeling of a Jonas Brothers song. Amazing melodies and lyrics

Fresh album! They did something different on this one. So many Pop albums nowadays has the same formula, but they really went in a different direction with this, blending genres, blending the NickJ's solo sound with DNCE's. It's really worth the listen!

An amazing record from the Jonas Brothers after over 10 years, and the anticipation was worth it. The lyrics are honest and craftily penned, the production is fresh and playful, and the general vibe portrays an earnest essence of adulthood without trying too hard in the slightest. Joe and Nick's vocals are immaculate, although I wish there was better distribution of vocals throughout the work-- despite being a bigger fan of Nick's vocals, I would have liked to hear more of Joe; he's improved greatly. I particularly love Only Human, Comeback, Strangers, Every Single Time, I Believe, Trust, and Hesitate, which showcase the brothers' diversity as artists and combine Nick and DNCE's respective works cohesively.
However, the album is not without faults. Love Her falls short amongst the list of classic Jo Bro love songs because it sounds like something we've all heard before. Don't Throw it Away borrows heavily from the iteration of 80s pop inspo and feels awkward on the tracklist after many listens.
I have seen the complaint that there is a heavy focus on the upbeat which border on similar-sounding tunes, but we have to remember that this album is called Happiness Begins-- its purpose is to prompt the audience into a feel-good attitude.
Overall, the Brothers we have always kept in our hearts prove that they're here to stay, and it's hard not to be happy about it. 9/10.

Steering away from the pop rock sound they honed during their prime, the Jonas Brothers have finally grown up. Utilizing the sounds of their previous solo endeavors and dipping into the nostalgia pool, the Jonas Brothers have created their most creative and ambitious work since A Little Bit Longer. Though some songs are notably generic, I think the Jonas Brothers were wise to make an album that could really launch their careers into the mainstream market which - though they were one of the biggest bands before the social media boom, they never had any real success with demographics older than their target. The Ryan Tedder produces album makes it Top 40 gold for the band of brothers since their strong and only number 1 hit, Sucker continues to dominate the charts. The Jonas brothers showcase their love for their wives, their relationship with their family, and have fun with their confidence with this album. Stand out tracks would include: Rollercoaster, Hesitate, and Trust which I believe is the trifecta of Jonas Brothers nostalgia, DNCE ballad, and Nick Jonas’ solo career relying on his falsettos. I think it’s best represents who the band is now and it’s more authentic than their previous album Lines, Vines, and Trying Times which though it had many enjoyable songs, I felt like it was their least ambitious project. It’s nice to see that the Jonas Brothers are back and now it seems like they are hear to stay and I’m okay with that. Expand

And even not the fackt that song is similar to some other artist song, I thing that all the songs on this album are similar to eachother! Which is sad...
I wanted something like Sucker, which was orginal in some way, it's summer time so Cool is prefect for that, so I though that they give us something fresh and fun for summer!
I understand that their wifes are imported for them, I really ilke everyone of them and I find their merriges a relecionships goals. But I thing that everysong is dedcyeded to them, and not everyone have this luck to have that preson so thay could write song about how it's to looking for love or how you have someone but you don't want hurt them or something fun! How to is when you meet somone in summer and you know that time is short becouse summer is over in any second. So many opcions.
I'm just sad...I still will be belive that they will made a great album, but this is not it. :(

I was really excited about this album. I am really sad to say that is the worst Jonas Brothers album. All the songs looks the same and the lyrics are so poor in a few songs. The distribution between Joe and Nick vocals are disappointing. Joe became a such great vocalist with DNCE, i wanted JBs have followed more DNCE or Maroon 5 ways and not so much Ryan Tedder ways.

This is such a fun album with so many potential! I love the blends of the old Jonas sound (more LVATT esque than self-titled of ALBL) with Nick's solo music and DNCE's funky disco pop sound and how they managed to balance this! You can really hear the growth that these men have gone through since releasing their last album 10 years ago and since they last released music as a band in 2013. You can almost hear how their relationship with each other has changed since their last musical release and their breakup was definitely for the better in terms of growing as people and musicians. I hope we hear more of this mixture of styles from them and you can hear the influence that other musicians have had on their own style. Joe and Nick really showed out in terms of their vocals as well. Patiently waiting for them to release "Jersey" from their Chasing Happiness documentary.

Dream potential singles are Only Human, Used To Be, Trust and Rollercoaster - with Rollercoaster definitively being the era's last single.

Top 5 at the moment: Hesitate, Used To Be, Strangers, Rollercoaster and Every Single Time.

I have to say, Love Her and Stranger can get repetitive lyrically, and borrowing from another user's review, Love Her does sound quite close to Love Yourself by Justin Bieber. I also wish that they put something like a floaty on the pool in the cover art because it looks very plain. Aside from that, the sheer contentment that radiates from each of the songs shows how far the Jonas Brothers have come from their teenage years on Disney Channel to now, married to their forever lovers, and you cannot help but feel happy with them.
