Say Anything is back. The songwriting on this album is great. Bemis is in top form after the misstep of Anarchy My Dear. The only bad points on this album for me are that the instruments sound a little fake, as they are digital, and there are a few ok as opposed to great songs. Overall, this album is fantastic. Max has plenty more to say after all.

A lot of sounds to take in and some head-scratching here and there, but overall, Bemis takes a brave step in a good direction.

Bemis may have grown up, but he's still a master at crafting poignant lyrics that take a sharp look at his fears of becoming irrelevant and thoughts about God. [Jul 2014, p.97]
  3. Hebrews isn't the return to form listeners may have been expecting from Say Anything; instead it's something entirely better.
