My biggest issue with How to Die in the North is the track disparity. Some tracks are great, such as the slow, piano ballad Good Morning Headache, or the wistful, jazzy Atom Bomb. However, there are some tracks that fall flat. I wasn't a fan of the R&B influenced Just Because I Love You or the largely forgettable surf tune Thieves in Antigua. The messy array of styles present on the album makes it a bit unorganized and unfocused. BC Camplight has the songwriting, instrumental, and vocal chops to make a great album, but he needs a focused vision of himself to succeed.… Expand
