Here they’re more melodic, emphasising tone rather than volume. It pays off.

While Hyperview has less interesting moments, it's an overall push toward the total renewal that adds another chapter to the band's fascinating evolution. [Mar 2015, p.92]

While their move away from the genre isn’t quite absolute, this album proves that they possess enough confidence and ability to do just about whatever they want.

The heavily distorted, fuzzy wall of sound from previous albums has been replaced by lead guitar jangle here, but while that may seem off-putting to fans who are accustomed to the relentless punk bludgeoning of their previous material, at its core the songwriting is solid, and familiar enough for old fans to learn to love.

Whether or not Hyperview resonates with Title Fight's existing fan base, it was the right album for them to make.

Consistent, concise and stylistically compelling, Hyperview is a good set of tracks, and a worthy crossover attempt at that, provided you’re OK with consulting the lyrics booklet and willing to take a ride on the undertow.

The reverby haze that now surrounds Title Fight mostly works to their favor, but perhaps they could benefit from bringing some sharper elements out of the mix, or some new dishes to the shoegaze table.
  8. The majority of the songs on Hyperview sound very, very similar. Those two songs are different enough to differentiate themselves from the rest of the album, but most of them aren’t.

Title Fight may be slowing down and looking skyward, but there’s something lurking here that suggests they haven’t taken the gloves off just yet.

It's great! The shoegaze sounds is very welcome. I'm a huge fan of the shoegaze scene and this is right up my alley. Sure it may be different than their previous stuff, but shouldn't a band try to evolve to keep things interesting? Full Review »

If Title Fight already have interesting lyrics, in HYPERVIEW they go to another level.
"Chlorine" is a master pierce song. "Your Pain Is Mine Now" is pretty solid also.
