The War on Drugs have continuously grown into fuller and more realized versions of themselves. I Don’t Live Here Anymore is fitting for their newest form: revered musicians with over a decade of quality music under their belts who never lost sight of the prize.

Though the War on Drugs may take a slightly more straightforward approach on I Don’t Live Here Anymore than they have in the past, they still find new ways to engage with complex arrangements. The result is a nimble balancing act of accessible pop-rock anthems and experimental soundscapes.

I Don’t Live Here Anymore, pushes the groups sound as much as it can, while staying conceptually consistent and rewarding.

Solid album, but my favorite is still "A Deeper Understanding;" nevertheless, "I Don't Live Here Anymore" is now one of their best songs ever.

The album retains all that is good about the band,"I Don't Live Here Anymore" continues the rich and unmistakable sound of The War On Drugs. The album retains all that is good about the band, the songwriting is as good as ever but with a sharper, more focused approach. It would be a stretch to call it an expansion or a development of their style but they have kept their sound fresh while continue to produce on a highly accessible level. Expand
